Are you using Bruce Guetner's SRPMs?  If yes, then I can tell you that Bruce
is currently looking into the problem.  If I remember his post in the rpms
mailing list, he doesn't plan to release an update to the daemontools rpm
until a new one is released.  If you're using tarballs then I have no idea
as I myself haven't tried it on a 7.1 box yet.
