talking about distance, repeater or fiber link will solve your problem. but
if cost is another issue that you cant afford to buy those two i mention
then play your pc as multi-home network which will extend your length and
can still prevent from any storm traffic from one segment into another
segment.

PC1, PC2 to PCnth will be acting as a router just to forward packets from
one segment into another segment.

maximum distance depends on what cabling you are using.  for coax, its
around 185meters while utp is 100 meters.
