i brought down one of our external servers today for system maintenance after almost 9
months of uptime. while doing the random checks on the box.....i found some weird
behavior...
i restarted the box after coming from single user. some weird error message came up to
me when i restarted the named daemon.
# rcnamed restart
Shutting down named done
#y command not found
Starting name server done
#y command not found
the error #y command not found keep showing up but still is able to start the service
anyhow?
is it possible that this is related to lion worm or any particular linux worm which
might have infected the server??
