Go to directory where you want to decompress/untar the files and do -->

Tar zxvf /mount/cdrom/location/of/your/tar.gz

Subject: [plug] Decompress from CD to HD

Hi Guys,

I have a tar file on a cd, a very big one. I wanted to decompress it without
copying the file into my HD. How can I do this?

Regards,
Carlos
