I would like, if I may, to propose that the PLUG and PH-LINUX-NEWBIE
mailing lists be incorporated into a single list - PLUG, and a new list
be spawned off - PLUG-MISC or something.

This proposal has the following advantages:

1. Cross-posting should be greatly minimized.
If the topic has anything to do with linux, it goes to PLUG,
otherwise it goes to PLUG-MISC. Simple, eh? With the current
setup, there doesn't seem to be a clear understanding of what goes
    where.

2. Subscribers are not forced to wade thru off-topic posts.
It's fairly obvious that there's always more than a few off-topic
posts. If all of these went to PLUG-MISC, subscribers who are only
interested with linux may choose _not_ to subscribe to PLUG-MISC.
Subscribers _shouldn't_ be forced to wade thru posts (rants?) by
outspoken idiots whose minds are probably not their own.

There might be disadvantages to this proposal, but I can't think of any.

I subscribed to both the PLUG and PLUG-NEWBIE lists because I wanted to
learn and if I can, share my limited knowldge with linux. It should be
safe to assume that most subscribers subscribed for similar reasons.
But really, those off-topic posts (sometimes, cross-posted even!) are
starting to get very annoying. Is it just me?
