Title: Re: [plug] tape drives
oh i'm so sorry...

i was just so ignorant. i was trying to "mount" the tape drive though it was not necessary DAW.

the problem before was it was detected by linux but i can't see it in the /mnt points. my friend pointed out that i didn't have to see it there since it is not a *file system*. what i treated the tape drive was like a cdrom and floppy drive that i can see. mali pala. hehe.

i tried "mt -f /dev/st0 offline" and it ejected the tape as expected. :)

sorry. thanks anyway to those who helped.

#_ btw, is a simple "mount /dev/rst0" right? or am i lacing some other
#_ things? do i need to install a software or something?

mount /dev/rst0 /where/to/mount

Most distro's have mountpoints already, usually:

/mnt/cdrom; /mnt/disk; /mnt/floppy

These are just subdirectory names, you can mount anything on them.
