Hmmm, this is one of those cicumstances where CPAN comes to the rescue.
Just load perl-DBI first. Anyway, since you said "it needs", I presume
you're using rpm?
With both rpms in the current directory, try running this to install
them at the same time:
rpm -Uvh perl-{DBD,DBI}*.rpm
