Nothing really, i just upgraded two boxes recently.

The only beef i have with 8 is that [on an install, not an upgrade] its
default package selection sucks for develpment use. You gotta manually
select a lot of devel packages for your box to compile SRPMs decently.
MDK 7.2 before had 'development' option which installed almost everything
needed for a general purpose machine.

Of course, if you have the 'auto-inst.cfg' floppy, this wouldn't be a
problem.

o The initscript support for iptables (/etc/sysconfig/iptables) wasn't
tested. It doesn't work. If you want to use iptables, you have to do it
from the command line or from rc.local.

o Also, supermount support seems to be a lot flaky in kernel 2.4. IN the
later 2.4.6-mdk kernels it doesn't even exist anymore.

o Kernel 2.4 == no iBCS
