You are over-reacting. Communism is just one of the forms of government in
Civilization. Any Civ fan will know that there's nothing offensive about
that. In Communism, you as ruler can do anything you want (e.g. you don't
need the Senate's approval to go to war). The drawbacks are:
1) corruption is quite high but fixed
2) the efficiency of your (presumably) planned economy is not so good
However ask any Civ fan and they'll tell you that Communism is one of the
better forms of government for Civ because 1) corruption is fixed, and 2)
no meddling bureaucrats to screw up your plans of conquest.
