:o(

Again you are refering to Linux as what the world has
accustomed to refer to it. All these, because one of
the media people interviewing Linus during the early
days suddenly thought of a need to call Linus'
creation something. The person at that time somewhat
suddenly said during the interview: "What is this
called? Can we call this Linux?" ... and then peeps,
the rest is history.

At one interview, Richard M. Stallman (guys, you
should this incredible dude!), leader of FSF! Before
Linus, there is this one cool dude, RMS, who started
out the presently known GNU/GPL. OK, at one interview,
again during the early days, RSM somewhat sourgraping
said: "Linux is only 15% of the whole OS. I've
contributed about 20% to it (his early GNU), and the
rest of the world filled in the rest of 65% (most are
presently under present GNU)". <- I can't remember the
exact figures, but guys, these are close to accurate!
Anyway, RSM continued: "The media has somewhat,
attributed everything to Linus, but the truth is, the
whole OS/project should be called GNU/Linux. But
ofcourse that is quite a mouthful, so they settled to
Linux".
So, there it is! I wish I could dig out the original
material from where I read this.
And the point to this? DUH! nothing, I just don't want
my hero RSM get neglected bec. the whole super OS is
now easily referred to as: "LINUX" :o).
OK, I rest my case you win! You may call it anything
you like. But guys, kindly read about Rishar M. Stall
man ok?! Hell he created your gcc for crying out loud!
and much much more! OK, Linux is not just an
OS/Kernel!
Hell it's a RELIGION!!! My religion! And hopefully,
yours too! :o) ..

-----------------
"I want out of this list! Can anyone kick me out of
this list. Lemme at em! lemme at em!!!!! (imagine me
straight jacketed and all)"
