Personally, I go for replying at the bottom so the person can get the
gist of the previous post.
This however means one has to edit each mail so the reader does not have
to go through the whole chain of posts again.
What I like about it is that, if properly done, it does end up exactly
like your own preferences.
I just said what I sent because some of the veterans have sent reminders
contrary to what I normally use.
So since I was sending a reminder, I went for the de facto, (or at least
I thought it was).
