Then you are probably one of the lucky ones [not affected by the changes].
Did you install devfs as well?  Keep me informed if you encounter troubles...
I'll be downloading the latest cooker kernel tonight as well.  I need the
reiserfs-nfs patches which went into the 2.4.7 linus tree...
