Enable the ip advanced router, and ip equal cost multipath in the kernel
(these options are not enabled by default in most distro kernels, so you
need to roll your own).
install iproute2 package (SRPMS in major redhat/mandrake mirrors)
and with that package you can set up multiple default routes.
