Hello!
Has anyone been able to install ORacle 8.1.6/8.1.7
on Red Hat Linux 7.1? i seem to have stumbled on a
bug the seems to involve JRE somehow.
After creating the oracle account, logging in and
doing a startx, i launched an xterm console, cd'd to
the CDROM, and then ran ./runInstaller. i get a
message about running JRE or something, then,
silence....
top reports that jre is using up about 90-40% CPU(my
guess is it's not doing anything worthwhile).
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
