amen to that. we cant even find a helpful consultant on OCI8 from Oracle 
Philippines itself. still, it's not totally unlearnable and we've used 
and deployed OCI on a multithreaded environment. it's not bad. a couple 
of hundred transactions/sec on the db level and around 50 heaviest 
transactions per sec(select-insert-update combo per OCI call). and it's 
buggy too...try having "unimplemented oracle errors." makes u scratch ur 
head.

metalink has only one person handling most of oci support...and usually 
kulang mga sagot niya. it really is obscure.
