I say switch to postfix. But then again... I always say that! \8)

But...

If ever we are to agree on anything, though, i'd venture that we all agree
that sendmail is technologically INFERIOR to postfix AND qmail (dunno much
about exim, so fill in please..)

Why?

sendmail is monolithic
sendmail is a resource hog
sendmail is the SLOWEST in delivering email
sendmail is insecure (what did i last hear? "local root compromise" with sendmail?
sendmail is a pain to configure
sendmail is a pain to maintain

need i say more... ?

So please, do deploy the right MTA, and that's certainly anything BUT
sendmail.
