This really doesn't strike me as a big issue.  If they have money to
burn, let them burn it, after all, it's their money.

What does strike me as a big issue is TAX MONEY SPENDERS like the
government WASTING TAX MONEY on branded hardware AND proprietary
commercial software, when cheaper and open source /non proprietary
solutions exist.  This money is yours and mine, and should be spent
wisely.  And spending X-millions of pesos on buying something like MS
Office is most definitely a waste of taxpayers money.

If there were an 'checkbox' item in the ITR form denoting where i'd like
the money i pay spent, it definitely won't be for funding misguided
government MIS managers still pushing for proprietary software.
