Hello,
I succeed in installing a YAMAHA YMF-719 (ISA) sound card on a RH 7.1
(2.4.2) box by using the sndconfig utility. It works fine but when I reboot
the system, the kernel encounters errors while loading the sound module like
this one:
"Aug 26 16:51:00 localhost modprobe: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by
incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters"
Then I can't use the sndconfig utility again after this. I can only
use sndconfig only after I remove the config lines in the /etc/modules.conf
file. I tried specifying the previously detected module parameters in the
/etc/modules.conf but the same errors occur.
Is there a problem with the new kernel's built-in isapnp detection?
I had no problems with RedHat 6.2. TIA.
Jen
