wrong, AFAIK irc servers can allow 2 to 3 simultaneous connection, what give
you a problem is the identd of the firewall host/gateway, some irc servers
like dal.net must connect to your identd daemon, but the identd of your
firewall host cannot masq/nat the identity of the client (lalu na kung may
reverse-lookup pa yung ip ng gateway). So you have to fool the irc server
that you have a valid ident response to the irc server.
My solution is this, dowload the ident2 daemon
http://netgraft.com/downloads/ident2/
modify your inetd.conf or add this to your xinet.d and add ident2 -r, you
can now use your localnet to connect to irc server.
