Gosh, such sofistication. ;> Right now I'm definitely under the gun with final examinations for this sem, but during the sem break will be more than willing to whip up an initial FAQ page, after which I'm sure things can be maintained (I'd be willing to do this until further notice) with minimal time requirements assuming the FAQ maintainer reads both lists (and I more than just read). So unless anyone else will rather take the job, I'll be willing to work on this mid-October by which time I'll be back in work mode. Right now I'm primarily in school mode because of examinations. > i think everyone's been busy lately. I think everyone still is. And will always be. One thing I found with PLUG is that unless someone volunteers, nobody will do squat. But then that's why we're a volunteer organization. And why we feed on the generous corporate time of such companies as Q-Linux. ;> > qlinux has been busy too as our office will be moving to another > building soon. Oh, cool. The best of luck generous list hosts. ;> > i do hope someone volunteers to be a FAQ master soon. I'm officially volunteering myself. I will write the FAQ in plain HTML at first (will start as I said mid-October). It can grow when the FAQ grows, and perhaps can get into some more sophisticated format later on (ala FAQ-O-Matic, but then I prefer the straightforward FAQ styles). If anyone wants to volunteer, I relieve my unassumed post, and will only challenge to take it back if by the time my finals are over nothing's been done. I will initially host the FAQ in my personal space, <http://jijo.leathercollection.ph/> where it will be most convenient for me to work on it. When it is substantial enough I will be most willing to transfer it to the "official" PLUG site. Those of you willing to recommend a FAQ entry (note: an entry consists of a well-phrased question, a well-phrased answer, and a list of links to even more comprehensive results including but not limited to manpages and URLs) will please e-mail me personally at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with the subject formatted as follows: Subject: PLUG-FAQ: <subject of faq> I plea for properly formatted subjects. And do -NOT- cc PLUG. I have neither the time nor the inclination to have to read and process threads about FAQ entries yet! Send the FAQ entry suggestions to me and only me. Trust that the floor will be open for discussion and deliberation when the FAQ page goes up. And trust that I will send all suggestions to an alternative FAQ maintainer volunteer should one surface before mid-October. Until then (mid-October), I crawl back to my dungeon to learn my Linear Algebra. --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III :: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Network Administrator :: The Leather Collection, Inc.
