Can anyone here help me get in touch w/ Gijo Sevilla? Sacha (Sandra Jean Chua of ADMU) told me I could ask him to burn Linux CDs for me. I am in need of a good copy of Slackware 8 and Red Hat 7.1.
Hasn't anyone here noticed that the Red Hat distro is consuming more and more memory than Slackware? I remember installing Red Hat 6.2 on a 486DX4 w/ 16 MB of memory, and it appeared to be outperformed by Slackware 7 on the same machine. I was able to install Slackware 7 on a 486DX33 w/ 8MB of RAM and it was still graceful (of course, I didn't bother to install the X Window System). Running Red Hat 6.2 on such a machine wouldn't be viable.
