I have the same problems here. As for fighting, we have a few people who just can't stand BSD, and this is made worse by the fact that I use it quite a bit. We have very little for newbies, and would like to change that. Most of our meetings scare newbies, so we have to work hard to keep them coming. Having folks from the group talk is a good idea, but also look for outside speakers now and then.
