I'm using a Linux compatible PCMCIA CD-ROM. It's made by Vintech and can be bought brand new at local computer shops(I've seen it at Complink shops). The CD-ROM also runs under pre-installed Windows OSes (at least Windows 95) but installing Windows with it is impossible. Installing Linux with it is great. You can install at least Slackware 4 or Red Hat 7.1 with it. You will NEED a bootable floppy drive though. The drive costed me P6500 when I bought it.
