I am new to this group. I would like to know if someone else has encountered my problem: I used redhat 6.2 and setting up of samba seems to be pretty much straightforward. With 7.1, I have exhausted all materials on samba but i still can't get it to work. The samba host can be seen in the browse list but shares can not be accessed. On dos box, "net use \\<samba-host>\<share>" gives an error. also, "net view \\<samba-host>" doesn't work also. tia allan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
