Dear Ian C. Sison,
I got your email at the url :
http://lists.q-linux.com/pipermail/plug/2001-August/008184.html
I have download the one file
so-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin
I have the same problem described in the url page, but your solution
talks about a "first" installation with a "/n" option.
How do I get to the first installation with the /n option set on ?
The only think I have at first is the downloaded file ?
Once it has executed, yes I do have a setup program.
So I tried running it with the /n as root, then without it.
It does not work ?
I use debian , linux 2.2.18pre21, an gnome.
?
Must a give some parameters to the
so-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin
command ? Should I give it the /n parameter ?
Any suggections ?
Thanks
eric

You should run setup /n first, to install a "network" version of soffice
on a public directory. Then when that's done, as any user, run the setup
program again, but this time without the "/n"
This will make an office52 directory on your home dir which takes up
around 1.5MB of space which is actually all the files that need to be
specific for each user.
