non-ImageMagick users, ImageMagick depends on several independent
libraries (eg jpeg, tiff, mpeg, etc) that you have to download and install

library has its own problem of compiling too (grrrr...). I think the
maintainer of ImageMagick should make a better autoconf/automake script.
But in the end, it is a pretty good software not only for image
manipulation but also for document preparation. I guess installing it in
linux may be easier.
