Holden,
Could you boot from a floppy/CDROM rescue mode and do a fsck on /dev/hda.
it looks like something is wrong (or about to go wrong) with your harddisk.
-- Dec 11 21:46:59 kyne kernel: hda: status error: status=0x58 { DriveReady
SeekComplete DataRequest }
-- Dec 11 21:46:59 kyne kernel: hda: drive not ready for command
Also:
-- Dec 11 21:46:47 kyne kernel: EXT3-fs warning (device ide0(3,2)):
ext3_unlink: Deleting nonexistent file (15895), 0
-- Dec 11 21:46:47 kyne kernel: EXT3-fs warning (device ide0(3,2)):
ext3_unlink: Deleting nonexistent file (15898), 0
-- Dec 11 21:46:48 kyne kernel: EXT3-fs warning (device ide0(3,2)):
ext3_unlink: Deleting nonexistent file (15810), 0
This looks like an unclean umount....(power failure or hard reboot?)
