hello all, i'd like to take some time to invite you all to UPCM's IRC server. if you have an irc client, the server is at upcm.net port 6667. we have a #PLUG channel there which our irc bot, Triumph, logs. i'll be posting the logs sometime on the web.
we have a few regulars there, and some transient as well as frequent visitors. :) if no one's talking on the channel at the moment, don't worry. some of us just keep our presence there until we're free. some of us are busy working in another window or dozing off at the keyboard, but they will eventually respond. honest. our peak hours for chatter are usually from 10 in the evening onwards. we talk about a lot of things, usually linux developments and other related concerns. then there's the usual geek topics that invade the channel from time to time. if you'd like to drop by and say hello, you are most welcome to. we don't bite. (well, not that hard.) and some of our regulars will be most happy to help you with your questions. or just to have some banter about geek stuff. if no one is in #plug, we have a #general channel which some UPM folk use. we're working on populating the channels during the day. we plan to have something like regular "talks" on friday evenings since it's sometimes difficult to have meetings face-to-face. this can be an alternative venue for technical talks. these can be geared for the newbie or for the people among us who like living on the bleeding edge. cu there. :) -- ___ eric pareja ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \@/ [ Chiba City: A Cyberpunk MUSH - http://chibacity.erisian.net ] ph-python v [ Philippine Linux Users' Group + http://plug.linux.org.ph ] @banwa.upm [ IRC /join #plug @upcm.net:6667 every evening 10pm onwards ] .edu.ph _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
