Same as the rest of us, I guess. Install, patch-update, install new
packages (from pkg or source), be able to reconfigure the kernel (e.g. to
install new drivers).

Solaris and Linux are extremely similar. It's in the kernel- and
hardware-level stuff that they vastly differ.
