[cross-posted, sorry for duplicates]

hi all,

the idea of a local linux certification program has been bouncing around plug
and the plug-org mailing lists for some months now. qlinux would like to
help in making this idea work for the local linux community.

in this light, we would like to request for your assistance in exploring its
feasibility by filling up the survey form at http://www.q-linux.com/survey

here's a more informative invitation letter drafted by some of our people:
=================================================
Good Day!

Since its introduction in 1991, Linux has steadily grown in popularity and
functionality to challenge the paradigm of centrally planned and controlled
proprietary operating systems. No other operating system in history has
grown as quickly across as broad a range of systems as Linux.

Many companies worldwide have chosen Linux servers which in turn gave rise to
the growing number of Linux users. That is where the need for a
certification for Linux professionals was realized, to recognize and certify
the talent and hard work of Linux users everywhere in the world.

The Philippine Linux Users Group (PLUG) and Q-Linux Solutions recognize the
value of this certification program. Both are now spearheading a project in
light of the proposed Linux Certification Program in the Philippines.

All of us will benefit from the results of this project by improving the
performance and standard of Linux proficiency in the country.

You may be assured that the project's mission is to improve the existing
Linux standards in the Philippines and to better equip our Filipino Linux
users in the ever challenging IT demands.

We would like to invite you to become a participant in this Linux
Certification Survey. Let's become partners in developing a competent
Filipino Linux Society.

You may take the survey virtually over the internet in this address:
http://www.q-linux.com/survey/.
If you have questions about the survey you may call Ms. Rosshell Clemente at
(632) 750-1800, or e-mail her at [EMAIL PROTECTED] You may
also contribute through comments and suggestions by posting them at the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.

Thank you for your consideration in participating in this vital program.
More power.

Looking forward to working with you,

John Harris U. Pe
Project Manager/Consultant
