It would not. Alex Timbol (who used to be on PLUG, I dunno now..) told me he also saw an SGI Personal Iris (R3000 processor, 25MHz) in HMR. Cool to have, but slow. You can get an SGI Indigo2 R10000 for about $300 on E-bay or from a reputable SGI reseller like reputable.com =) That's about PPro-class, which is more than good enough if you run a suitably old version of IRIX. IRIX is kewl, it's my favorite UNIX. Too bad it's been years since I used an SGI box. Dido broke it!! =P You want IRIX 6.3 because SGI released the IDO for that (compiler set) for free.
