Holden, Have just installed 7.2 fresh on a machine at home, dual-booting with NT4. It is dual-CPU, but they are not running at the same speed (SuSE 6.4 used to cope fine with this).
Am experiencing exactly the Gnome problem you described with the panel crashing when x starts (right after I log in to X). If I restart the panel from a terminal, it generally runs OK. I was going to reinstall, as I haven't got any data to lose, but if you have any ideas, I'd be very interested to hear them. I'll try Nautilus and see if that is broken like yours. Also, I'll give KDE a go today and see if that's OK. Thanks, Barney. http://lists.q-linux.com/pipermail/plug/2001-December/013475.html -- _______________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup 1 cent a minute calls anywhere in the U.S.! http://www.getpennytalk.com/cgi-bin/adforward.cgi?p_key=RG9853KJ&url=http://www.getpennytalk.com _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
