When I took it... Like Orly, I was stumped on the NIS questions. And like Dek, I was stumped on Gnome-specific and XFree86 stuff. I like the questions being diverse and trying to touch up on all aspects of Linux from Definition to Administration. What I don't like about it is that it follows software popularity as the de facto when choosing the questions. I'm speaking in terms on BIND, Apache, SQUID, etc. These I think should not be included in Linux General as they cater to specific software. IMHO it would be ok though to ask stuff about DNS, HTTP, Proxying in general. My only reason is that _most_ software (even if it's custom made) can be made to work good as long as the admin understands it and software is a matter of preference and not of popularity. Win vs Linux is a shining example of this as most of us are advocates of the least popular of the two, desktop-wise that is. -- Deds Castillo Infiniteinfo Philippines http://www.infiniteinfo.com Hiroshima '45, Chernobyl '86, Windows '95,'98,2K _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
