hi there allan, sorry i haven't experienced this problem. but you can try applying the latest updates, including the kernel from redhat and see if the problem remains. these may also help you track down the problem: when you are unable to ping the internet, is the eth0 interface still up? are your routes still ok? does your /proc/sys/net/ipv4 still say '1' ? if pinging by hostname, try also pinging by ip address. hth, -eric -- �.--. �Enrique D.
