grabe, 5-in-a-row posts which almost all are all one liners. talk about channel noise. sheesh. i dunno if that's the norm in a well-packed mailing list...oh well.
personally, i think this thread has worn itself out already. i mean, hell come on. we're all here because we like the OS, we find it useful. we should very well know by now our own reasons why we use the darn thing. and it's never a matter of having the "right" reason. yours maybe different from mine, the point is that we're all benefitting from it. we share our knowledge willingly for our own different reasons too. that troll became only a troll because ppl's hackles rose to what i think is a useless come on. passion is one thing, but zealotry can be one big turn-off too. linux is cool. =) i just came back from trying out several Os'es (BeOS and OpenBSD). i removed both and put linux back on my workstation...hehehe. it's the apps...and the supported device that tipped the scale. simply put...it makes me more productive. --vince On Sat, 2002-01-12 at 07:41, Linux Newbie wrote: > >You know, this is one thing i like about Linux.
