Globe just announced their GPRS pricing. I had called them last Sunday and they said it would be free until January 15 (before that, it would be free until December 31). Seems they can't figure out a pricing scheme.
Anyway, the customer-support rep told me that the price is... ONE HUNDRED PESOS A MONTH. Period. No per-megabyte charges (daw). I asked her to confirm that there are no such charges. She said yes, it's just flat rate. I suppose this is for postpaid subscriptions. Will someone from Globe / with the contacts confirm this? I suspect if true Globe is just trying to "seed the market" with GPRS phones and eventually they'll transition to a per-MB pricing just like the US GPRS providers.
