Hello! I’m a newbie here at PLUG, so I’m not familiar with anybody here. It’s nice to be here at PLUG. J
I would like to ask how to configure the arts soundserver in KDE 2. I have an VIA AC97 sound chip built into my motherboard, and I’m using SuSE Linux 7.0. My problem is, when I configure the sound in YaST2 and I try it on XFree86, the sound is very choppy. I tried modifying the arts soundserver setup somewhere in KDE 2.0, and it did improve or worsen a little, but it’s still choppy.
Also, how can I play MIDI files on my system? I have MIDI players in the system but they wouldn’t come out of my speakers.
