I am encouraged to install WINE because of this post, Im using VMWare
before on my RH 6.2
but since im using RH 7.1 my VMWare version wont run anymore,
besides it's not free (any hacked VMWare
for RH 7.1 you want to share, he he) my purpose of using Windblows
is to run Checkpoint Policy editor
(unfortunately policy editor is limited only to Motif for Unix based
OS). Now I installed an rpm version of wine-20020106-1
copy the sample wine.config to my /usr/local/etc/ and ~home/.wine
(just to make sure) and edit my own version to fit my system.
Added the path /usr/local/etc/ to PATH. Then run "wine fwpolicy.exe
--winver ms2000" but an error message:
wine: cannot find 'fwpolicy.exe'
neither indicating the complete path will do.
running winelauncher > Configure results in the ff. error:
Error: Unable to find winesetup in your PATH or in /opt/wine/bin
I've read the README and the html configuration page. Did I miss something
in my configuration?
I'll be glad to hear how did you install wine successfuly!
Thanks.
