printtool is Red Hat sided. I never used cups, but I like APSfilter since
it is text based, easy to use, provides automatic postscript filtering for
non-ps printers, and found both under FreeBSD and Linux. Also, it's
included by default under Slackware, so I got stuck with it. Info can be
found in http://www.apsfilter.org .
