Try SourcePro NET from Rogue Wave.  You'll have to use C/C++ but its easy 
enough to build components (i.e. OCX's etc..) for other languages you use.

Your code will compile on most platforms without any changes and its very 
easy to use.  Only drawback is you have to pay for it, however,  If your time 
is more valuable, then its better to be pound-wise than penny-foolish.
