Hi, has anyone here taken any local training/courses that they could recommend? For example, on Linux/Unix basics, or sysadmin/networking, or programming, databases, etc. in an OSS environment. I would be interested to know how effective they are...compared with the "Just-RTFM" learning method :).
Related question is, has anyone tried hiring Unix/OSS people lately? How hard was it and how long did it take? Did anyone respond to the advertisement? The company I am with is interested in "going open source" but is worried that it will be hard to find programmers, let alone good programmers, familiar with OSS. I would think that there are many other organizations out there with the same concern... TIA, IBPratibha __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
