hello. to those who lurk in the kernel lists, which kernel version provides the best SMP platform? which vm? which scheduler? which is more stable? i currently have a highly threaded application that i need to run in a linux box and i'm thinking of going the latest kernel update from redhat as they assure stability for server systems...but i'm wide open to ideas.
i've played around with ingo's o(1) scheduler for my desktop and it looks okay naman. i doubt if the pre-emptive patch is proper as well. thanks. --vince _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
