smbmount //<ip_address>/<share_folder> /<mnt_directory> -o username=<username>

eg. smbmount //123.1.2.3/Share  /mnt/network -o username=guest

you'll be asked for a password.  if you do it correctly, you'll have the
directory on your /mnt/network directory.

you can read samba for more info as well.

try xSMBrowser for a network neighborhood feel. <graphical interface>
