I've asked this kind of question to the postfix maintainers (Weitse,
Ralf...etc). They answered me that it was a nice feature.
But, they also told me that this was the reason why some commercial mail
servers aren't that stable. I've done disaster
recovery on Exchange and it's a pain in the ass. You have to make sure that
edb log files are the same.

Though I used both. :-)
