I started doing that, just because I wanted to brush up on my CVS
skills.  (My wife uses RCS for that, on her machines.)  Works well.

I also know of people who keep their entire home directories checked
into CVS.  Visiting a different firm and missing your .bash_profile and
.emacsrc files?  Just check out a copy over SSH.
