Greetings, I am planning to write a short report for my office that documents a comparison of the Cost of Ownership/Operation of our IT infrastructure using Free and Open Source Software (may be Commercial) against Proprietary Software.
What costs do you think should be included in the report aside from acquisition costs? I know that there are other published reports on the web that attempts to do this. I would appreciate it if you would email me privately with the URL to the report as well as your comments on whether it was helpful to you or not. I will summarize the replies and post them to the mailing list after a week or two. Thank you and have a nice day! -- ___ Eric Pareja (xenos AT upm.edu.ph) | Information Management Service [IMS] \e/ Network and Systems Administrator | University of the Philippines Manila v ~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~ "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." -Galadriel _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
