i have 3 systems on a single 5G harddrive thats works perfectly with the following partitions :
/dev/hda1 [windows'98se]
/dev/hda2
/dev/hda5 [ntfs - windowsXP pro]
/dev/hda6 [ext3 - Redhat Linux 7.2 ]
/dev/hda7 [tmp - linux swap]
as always, it would be easier if you'd install M$windows before
applying grub (or lilo) on the bootsector (/dev/hda).
pls see attached grub.conf file.
tweak :
on linux, copy "/boot/grub" to "c:\boot\grub" and append
your "grub.conf" file to "c:\boot.ini" (just below the windows init
lines).
that way when something goes wrong and all you have is a grub prompt,
just type :
root (hd0,0)
configfile /boot.ini
hope this may be of reference.
