Good day to the PLUG community.

I would like to ask help about iptables.

I am experimenting with Sorcerer GNU Linux. I tried
installing iptables-1.2.6.tar.gz but encountered this
message :

iptables.c:141:redefinition of 'ipt_get_target'
 /usr/src/linux/include/netfilter_ipv4/ip_tables.h
:294
 'ipt_get_target' previously defined here
make *** [iptables.o] Error 1

The kernel I am using is linux-2.4.19-pre5-ac2 with
the 'Alan Cox' patches.

I tried installing it after installing XFree86_4.2,
Gnome1.4, and KDE2.2.2. Should I install iptables
before installing X?

Thank you in advance to the PLUG community.

David Reyes
