hi there allan,
to delete queued emails, first identify which email you want to delete.
use the mailq command and take note of the queue file id of the email to be
deleted. mailq returns something like:
F193B3401A 133244 Mon Jun 3 10:03:24 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(Name service error for webrep.net: Host not found, try again)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
... where F193B3401A is the queue file id
now depending on the version of postfix you have, you may use the postsuper
command like:
postsuper -d F193B3401A
let's say you want to delete all queued emails from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
for a in `mailq|grep ^[0-Z]|grep "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"|cut -d" " -f1`; do
postsuper -d $a; done
if "postsuper -d" doesn't work, you may have an older version of postfix, in
which case you can use:
rm -f `find /var/spool/postfix/deferred -name F193B3401A`
please take note of the warnings in:
http://www.postfix.org/postsuper.1.html
for more info,
man mailq
man postsuper
for your other problem, mailman should send a daily digest to subscribers who
opted for digest mode. maybe your subscribers have the 'nomail' option
checked as well? you may also check mailman's logs for clues.
hth,
-eric
