Hi Marvin, Doc Mana, the rest, Lemme clarify the venue further:
NCC is providing the AVR, (108-seater, 1F NCC Main), that is equipped with a Wide-Screen, LCD Color-Projector, Sound System. This is an auditorium type room. As in our last meeting for Open Minds, this venue shall be taken care of PLUG, and hopefully in cooperation with other organizations and the NCC. We have recommended that this venue is for mainstream audience on issues for Linux and Open Source. As for the other rooms: 3 Labs (2 with PCs, 1 without PCs, min: 15 pax, max: 30 pax [if extra chairs added]), one or two can be used by PLUG for its technical sessions (read: heavy or light Linux and open source stuff). I am not sure if there are LCD projectors made available for these rooms, but I'd suggest that bringing an LCD projector(s) should be considered. I'll try to set a meeting with the NCC advocacy group and PLUG to discuss use of the PCs and other equipment. 2 Classrooms (without PCs, capacity: 30 pax), which will be used by Open Source companies for displaying and explaining their wares and services. If there's an extra lab that won't be used by PLUG, it can be used by any of these companies (Q-Linux, QSR, DDN, Imperium, K2, etc.). I am also not sure if LCD projectors are provided, so I'd suggest that companies consider bringing their own, aside from their PCs/laptops. We have to finalize coordination of schedules at least two weeks or ten days prior the event. NCC is also enjoing us all to invite colleagues, students, peers, clients, and partners to participate in their IT Month, to ensure a degree of success. I guess, we'll concretize efforts further next thursday. FYI, Vic >Hello Doc Mana, > >Yeah, it's Wednesday. I know that it's hard to find a speaker especially if >it's for weekdays and I thank you that you are available for this event. > >As for the time schedule, I still need to collate all the speakers and what >are their prefered time to give their talk. Maybe you can give me an idea >on what is your prefered time for your talk. > >I still need to get in touch with the NCC people and the Open Minds on what >are the facilities they can provide during this event. But I assume that >they have LCD projector but I just don't know if their PCs is installed with >Linux and a StarOffice and/or OpenOffice with it. I still have to check it >out. > >I'll update you with this within a week. > >Thanks in advance. > >--- >MARVIN T.
